Founded in the early 1900s and marketed to the affluent as an alternative neighborhood to Inman Park, Ansley Park is on the National Register of Historic Places and features beautiful European mansions and exquisitely modern homes. Known as a quiet oasis located in a busy part of town, Ansley park is flanked on the east side by Piedmont Park and on the west side by the Midtown business district. Needless to say, the walkability and attractions surrounding this neighborhood are innumerable. Don’t believe me? Spend a week here and test it out yourself.
On Monday, spend an afternoon on the 27-hole golf course at Ansley Golf Club. Sports Illustrated rated this course as having the 2nd best 9-hole layout in the country!
On Tuesday, bring the kids and spend the day at Piedmont Park. There’s something for everyone – fishing, swimming, tennis, baseball, volleyball, basketball, or you can make up your own game and play it on the Active Oval. You can even bring Fido for a romp in the Piedmont Dog Park (which is nearly 3 acres)!
On Wednesday, take a trip to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, which features 30 acres of outdoor gardens, a children’s garden, and an indoor snake exhibit!
On Thursday afternoon, take a trip to the High Museum of Art for half-price tickets and see the work of the artists that have made history.
Finally, on a Friday evening, head on over to Atlantic Station. An expansive live-work-play development, Atlantic Station is the perfect way to finish your busy week while winding down over a delicious meal and strolling through shops, such as Dillards, Gap, and Banana Republic. We’ll see you there!
